چکیده

The adsorption of the amino acid, l -lysine, on two ZSM-5 having different silicon to aluminium ratio (i.e. Si/Al = 15 and 37) has been investigated by experiments at macroscopic atomistic level resolution. kinetic equilibrium constants processes obtained for both materials, show that Al content is an important factor in tuning acid zeolite. Adsorption of carbon monoxide in H-ZSM-5 and Li-ZSM-5 zeolites: an embedded ab initio cluster study

The absorption of carbon monoxide with H-ZSM-5 and metal-substituted Li-ZSM-5 zeolites has been investigated by Ž . using both cluster and embedded cluster approaches at the HFr6–31G d,p level of theory. For the H-ZSM-5 zeolite, the binding energy of CO on a 3T quantum cluster is predicted to be 2.25 kcalrmol for the C-bound complex. The O-bound complex was found to be less stable by about 0.84...

Thixotropic Supramolecular Gel Based on L-Lysine Derivatives

The dimer L-lysine derivatives, in which two N,N-diacyl-L-lysines were crosslinked by calcium ion, were synthesized through a simply synthetic procedure and their gelation properties were examined. These compounds functioned as an organogelator; especially, the gelators possessing both a linear and a branched alkyl chains had the better organogelation ability and formed the thermally stable and...

Structure of Mo2Cx and Mo4Cx Molybdenum Carbide Nanoparticles and Their Anchoring Sites on ZSM‐5 Zeolites

Mo carbide nanoparticles supported on ZSM-5 zeolites are promising catalysts for methane dehydroaromatization. For this and other applications, it is important to identify the structure and anchoring sites of Mo carbide nanoparticles. In this work, structures of Mo2Cx (x = 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6) and Mo4Cx (x = 2, 4, 6, and 8) nanoparticles are identified using a genetic algorithm with density funct...

In situ EPR investigation of the addition of persistent benzyl radicals to acrylates on ZSM-5 zeolites. Direct spectroscopic detection of the initial steps in a supramolecular photopolymerization.

Photolysis of dibenzyl ketone derivatives adsorbed on ZSM-5 zeolites produces persistent benzyl radicals (initiator radicals), which add to methyl acrylates (monomers) to generate persistent adduct radicals. Both initiator and adduct radicals are readily observable by conventional steady-state EPR spectroscopy at room temperature and are persistent for time periods ranging from seconds to many ...

Ammonia storage studies on H-ZSM-5 zeolites by microwave cavity perturbation: correlation of dielectric properties with ammonia storage

To meet today’s emission standards, the ammonia-based selective catalytic reduction (SCR) has become the major NOx control strategy for light and heavy diesel engines. Before NOx reduction can proceed, adsorption of ammonia on the acidic sites of the catalyst is necessary. For improvements in efficiency and control of the exhaust gas aftertreatment, a better understanding of the ammonia storage...
